Managing Stress & Learning to Relax

Experience the power of a minute as participants learn to take short breaks to slow the increasing pace of life while reducing their overall stress throughout the day. Using personal “cues”, participants will learn and practice a multitude of practical strategies that will keep them centered, calm and focused during the day.

LEARN TO RELAX: THE VACATION WITHIN
This session will help one to discover the best way for each person to systematically elicit a reduced mental and physical arousal (relaxation), while increasing energy for their daily demands. Explore a wide range of relaxation techniques and discover the one that works best for you.

THE MINDFUL EXPERIENCE: SLOWING DOWN TO THE SPEED OF LIFE
This session introduces the concept of mindfulness and how to keep one’s consciousness alive to the present reality without judgment. Participants will learn how to use the thought, “what is my purpose right now?” to stay more focused in what is being experienced.

HEALING MEDITATIONS
In this session participants will learn guidelines for successful meditations. Experience several approaches to meditation and practice using conscious intentional imagery for both health and healing. Also, learn methods to facilitate a good night’s rest.

MANAGING THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE
Enjoy the opportunity to closely look and your normal day and how you actually “spend” your time. Participants are encouraged to really think about their life priorities and determine if they are giving ample TIME to those priorities. An activity is done which allows participants to seriously think about their precious time and how they plan to live the rest of their lives. Learn several efficient ways of managing the time personally, professionally and with your family.

T’AI CHI CHIH: JOY THRU MOVEMENT™ (STANDING OR SITTING)
This experiential session involves learning and practicing several of 19 gentle movements and one closing posture. As a non-martial art, the focus is on reducing stress and enhancing general well-being. No special equipment or clothing needed. This practical session is full of excellent movement for all age groups, and can be done in a standing or seated position.
